Utility Shed

There is a wide variety of configurations and materials commonly used in the fabrication and construction of utility buildings. But they all have one thing in common, the need protection from the elements. Whether concrete, steel, wood, aluminum or fiberglass, Mother Nature will find away to break into any structure.Valuable equipment can be exposed to dirt, moisture and pests that can damage or destroy your assets, requiring premature repair or replacement.

Utility Body

Utility trucks are used by contractors and commercial personnel to help complete some of the most demanding work. These trucks must be able to transport heavy and often bulky equipment to and from the job site in a safe and secured manner. Without the use of these trucks many contractors and commercial personnel would not be able to complete their jobs.A local contractor came to LINE-X in need of a solution for the rust corrosion on his utility bodies. The factory paint protecting these vehicles was quickly wearing away, allowing severe rust to corrode the bed and tops of the cabinets. Fine particulates in the air compounded the issue. In the past they had tried a variety of coating solutions including slip-resistant adhesives and other do-it-yourself coatings. None of these effectively held up to the demands of working around these harsh environments.

Fan Shrouds

Several fan shrouds were located in an open warehouse. The exposed sharp edges of the shrouds created a risk of injury to people in the ware-house. Because the shrouds were black and they blended into the background, accelerating the risk for accidental injury. OSHA considered the fan shrouds to be a workplace hazard.

Wrought Iron Furniture

Wrought iron furniture is popular all over the country. Homeowners enjoy the classic look of the furniture on their deck or patio. They also like its somewhat heavy construction which makes the furniture stable in windy conditions. The most common topcoat finishes found on wrought iron furniture are either paint or powder coating. While owning wrought iron furniture has several advantages over other options for outdoor and patio furniture, it does have several disadvantages. One of the major disadvantages of wrought iron furniture is its inability to fight the outdoor elements, despite a topcoat finish. Whether the initial coating is paint or powder coating, eventually the furniture will rust and cause unsightly, brown and reddish colored streaks and stains on both the furniture and deck or patio. Because LINE-X is nationally recognized for protecting truck beds against rust and corrosion, a customer decided to have their wrought iron furniture covered and protected by LINE-X.

Vehicle Restoration- Undercarriage Light Industrial

An automotive enthusiast was restoring a vehicle and needed impact and abrasion protection on the undercarriage. The vehicle needed significant protection that would not chip or easily wear while also protecting from rocks and other road debris. It was imperative that the protection not interfere with the performance of the vehicle. The enthusiast also wanted to maintain the original “look” of the vehicle by color matching the protection to the exterior paint.

UTV Cargo Bed

UTV cargo beds are exposed to extreme conditions while loading, hauling, and working in the field. This workload often leads to paint chipping, rusting, corrosion, and denting. All of which decreases the life expectancy and value of the UTV

Truck Interior

Consumers are expecting more luxuries out of their vehicles than ever before. One of the most important things expected from vehicles is a quiet ride. To accommodate consumers, most vehicles are equipped with sound-deadening insulation.Unfortunately, the insulation is inadequate, allowing road noise into the vehicle. This is both annoying to the passengers and lessens sound quality from the stereo system.Traditional aftermarket sound deadening options include foam or foam-like squares that break down overtime and require messy adhesive to apply. These options also require sections to be pieced together, which is often rough and leaves gaps for noise to pass through.Vehicle owners looking for a solution to this noise problem are turning to LINE-X.

Trike Fenders

Metal or painted fenders show dam-age easily. Even a small rock will leave a dimple or chip the paint. Enthusiasts spend thousands of dollars ensuring their vehicles look great. Damaged fenders or accessories significantly detract from the look and value of the vehicle.A local company specializing in trikes and sidecar kits has LINE-X spray the back fenders, steps and the front fender of their vehicles to protect them from the damage caused by normal driving. The company is so pleased with the LINE-X product, they referred an out-of-town couple to the local store for this application.

Tri-Axle Dump Truck

A road and bridge contractor required an application to protect the floors of their Tri-Axle dump trucks from extreme impact, abrasion and corrosion. These trucks were consistently exposed to extreme impact and abrasion from cement, rocks and gravel. The floors of the trucks were especially susceptible needing to be replaced every four to five years at a minimum cost of $3,000. Due to the fact the company owns at least 25 dump trucks, having to replace the floors was becoming increasingly costly. It was mandatory that the product used to protect the floors would be able to withstand the constant extreme abuse of the construction sites while living up to the client’s image requirements. They also needed the solution to be time efficient preventing extensive downtime.

Trash Compactor

Equipment that is used to move waste operates in a very demanding environment. As garbage breakdowns, chemicals are released and can combine with other materials to create caustic runoff. In addition to eroding metal parts on expensive equipment, this runoff can also damage rubber and even cause unhealthy situations for workers. Replacement is costly and time consuming.A city municipality was experiencing corrosion issues in the tray that contains the hydraulic compacting ram and hoses of their trash compactor. The corrosion was accelerated by the caustic runoff from the waste. The City needed a solution that would resist the runoff, protect the hydraulic equipment and increase the overall maintenance cycle of the equipment. They needed the solution in a time efficient manner preventing downtime of the equipment.
