Today marks the 13th Anniversary of the attacks perpetrated against the United States of America. Everyone alive that day can recall where they were when they heard the news. For the me, I was the Alpha Battery, 6th Battalion, 52d Air Defense Artillery Battery Commander stationed in Ansbach, Germany. I was in my office doing paperwork when some of my Soldiers came in and stated that a plane had flown into the World Trade Center. The entire office cleared out and went up to a barracks room on the second floor and watched in disbelief as the United States was under attack. I remember telling my Soldiers that we’re going to war, little did I know that 13 years latter we would still be fighting. In memory of all 2,977 innocent American’s that lost their life that day, we remember you!
